Yamaha

In April 2007 Yamaha shot still photos of their line of ATV's

B.F. Goodrich

In March 2007 B. F. Goodrich shot still photos for future print ads using Ryan Barnes Jeep Rubicon (www.ryansrubicon.com/) to show off their tires.

The Discovery Channel - Bear Attack

Darlow-Smithson Productions of London filmed sceens for a documentary on a bear attack which occurred in Alaska. Our neighbor Randy Miller (www.predatorsinaction.com/) provided the animals for the shoot.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

National Geographic Grizzly Bears

In October 2006 National Geographic shot "filler" scenes for a program originally filmed in Alaska. Randy Miller's Predators In Action (http://www.predatorsinaction.com/)provided wildlife for the shoot.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Old Spice

"The Lumberjack" - Greenpeace International

Alta Vista Films shot a public service short subject for Greenpeace International involving a lumberjack, his wife, a bear and a tree. Although a tree was cut down for the filming of this production it was a tree which had already died and was scheduled to be removed as part of an ongoing fire prevention program.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

"The Feast" (168 Hour Film Project)

In April 2005 Michael Costner and Walt Foreman videoed their project "The Feast" which was selected for public showing at the 168 Hour Film Festival (www.168project.com/web/91.cfm) in Pasadena.

"The Dream" - Christian Broadcasting Network

In February 2005 the Christian Broadcasting Network filmed scenes for their production "The Dream", a story about a family seeking religious freedom. Snow blankets were used to simulate snowdrifts.

             

"The Ride"

In February 2005 University of Southern California student filmmaker Mark Frank filmed scenes for his project "The Ride."

Hummer H3

In March 2005 Hummer (http://www.hummer.com/) shot stills for their H3 point of sale brochure.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Yamoto Motorcycles

In January 2005 Patriot Motorcycles (www.patriotmotorcycles.com), the U.S. distributor of Yamoto Motorcycles (http://www.winspeedmotor.com/main.asp) videoed a corporate presentation of their products at Weesha.

"Monster Mountain"

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In October 2004 Mountain Productions LLC shot scenes for their film "Monster Mountain (www.imdb.com/title/tt0432958/).

 

 

 

 

Outside Magazine

In July 2004 Outside Magazine shot photos for the cover of their October 2004 issue (see copy of cover at http://outside.away.com/outside/toc/200410.html) and related cover story .  The photos featured pro athlete, performer and (and, as they refer to her, "stunt babe") Gabrielle Reece as the "Goddess of Temptation" (the theme of the feature was people giving in to their temptations such as cutting down trees and driving Humvees) . As described in the related story, the tree pictured as being cut down was a dead tree which had already been  killed by the bark beetle infestation.  Gabrielle is also pictured strolling down the river on our property (see photo at http://outside.away.com/outside/features/200410/guilty_pleasures_2.html) for another one of the short stories in that issue.

Honda

In 2004 Honda shot a corporate presentation for their dealers featuring their new SUT (http://www.honda.com)

Trim Advantage

 In June and July 2004 No Studio Entertainment shot an infomercial shoot for Trim Advantage Weight Management Systems. Photos are pending.

Willie Nelson

In June 2004 Willie Nelson was on site to shoot photos for album cover

Ford

In January 2004 David Naylor & Associates filmed a commercial of the Ford Escape SUV for Ford Motor Company of Canada.

Advair

In July 2003 Q.A.S. Productions shot still photos for Advair (www.advair.com) featuring "Pug" the dog.

New Balance

In June 2003 New Balance shot video and stills of models wearing their footwear for a "point of sale" presentation in Japan..

Honda

Honda.jpg (72067 bytes)In August 2002 Honda shot film and still photos of their ATV's for use in point of sale displays. They returned in September 2002 to shoot footage for their CRV SUV.

 

 

 

 

Toyota

In August 2002 Toyota shot photos for the web site for the 2003 4Runner.  

The Golden Bear

The Golden Bear Jewelry (www.TheGoldenBear.com) of Vail, Colorado shot stills for their Fall 2002/Winter 2003 catalog at Weesha. 

Pictured at left is Reanna modeling earrings from The Golden Bear. On the right is a photo of the crew working alongside the Santa Ana River. 

Kawasaki

Kawasaki (www.Kawasaki.com) recently shot video footage for use in a "point of purchase" demo tape for their dealers. The production was done by "The Association" in Burbank, California in conjunction with Kawasaki's agency, Foote, Cone & Belding.  

Their print media agency, Inter-Image ,Inc. Advertising,  and photographer Rich Cox also shot still photos for use in print ads and other promotional materials.

Chevrolet Avalanche

In September 2001 Avalon Films shot segments for a commercial for the Chevy Avalanche SUV/pickup  truck (www.chevy.com).

Race & stunt driver Bobby Unser Jr. of the Unser Driving Team was used to demonstrate the performance of the truck. 

National Geographic Explorer

Boyd Matson and a crew from National Geographic Explorer (www.nationalgeographic.com)  filmed segments at Weesha which included wolves and foxes for a program on the "mane wolf" of South America and also the arctic wolves of Canada. The program was first broadcast July 15, 2001. The show is also available on video for purchase by the public.

The wolf and fox were provided by Hollywood Animals.

 

The segments shot included scenes in the woods and also alongside the Santa Ana river.

Wrangler Jeans

Wrangler Jeans (www.wrangler.com) shot film footage for TV commercials (originally released July 2000) identified as "Men's", "Women's" and "Anthem" set to the music of Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Fortunate Son."  They also shot stills for print ads and in store displays.

These ads have appeared in "People", "Sports Illustrated", "ESPN", "TV Guide", "Woman's Day" and "RedBook" magazines. 

This is the shoot for the "Clothesline" sequence for TV. Prior to completion of the filming it began to rain so they incorporated the rain in commercial.  The final version showed the actors playing football in the rain between the clotheslines.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Subaru

In April 2002 Subaru (www.subaru.com) shot stills alongside the Santa Ana River for a print ad campaign for their Outback SUV.

Polaris Industries

Polaris (www.polarisindustries.com) ATV's shot stills at Weesha for use in their 2001 international catalog and on their web site.

Rowntree Macintosh Chocolates

The British firm Rowntree Macintosh (a division of  Nestle UK) (www.nestle.co.uk) shot a segment for their series of "The Fugitive" commercials for the Yorkie chocolate bar at Weesha. It showed a convict in a jailhouse jump suit being pursued through the Santa Ana River with his Yorkie bar held over his head. Other segments in the series included shots of the pursuit taken in Big Bear, on Onyx Summit and the Palm Springs Ariel Tram.

 The commercial was not broadcast in the United States.

Fear Runs Silent

Fear Runs Silent (httwww.mtivideo.com/artistview/fear_runs_silent.htm) is a feature length horror thriller starring Stacey Keach and Billy Dee Williams.  It was released on video in late 2000. The "Second unit"  shot footage on the Weesha property which included mountain,  water and brush scenes.

The Flower

Student Adolfo Martinelli (he was the writer, producer and director) filmed a portion of his project  "The Flower" for a class at Loyola-Marymount University at Weesha.

 The young actress is Veronica Leigh.

 

 

 

Going Home

A Korean War film shot as a student project for the film school at the University of Southern California.
